DKNY launches new fragrance PUREdkny Verbena to benefit global poverty
In 2010, PUREdkny and CARE launched their partnership through the launch of PUREdkny Vanilla which has been helping to educate Ugandan vanilla farmers through the Village Savngs & Loan Association or VSLA which is CARE’s saving-led microfinance program. CARE has found that when people from the world’s poorest communities are given access to financial resources such as secure savings, credit, insurance and more, they are able to life themselves out of poverty. PUREdkny has helped secure long-term vanilla production in Uganda which in turn, has helped raise women in the area out of poverty.
