We sympathise. But which Prince did they think they were dealing with, here? Because if it’s the same Prince who hasn’t really spoken to anyone properly since 1995 then their hopes he might stand in the Croydon branch of Boots, squirting his essence at passing ladies seem naïve at best. Prince, in his defence, claimed he told the company he wouldn’t be lifting a bony finger to help them sell the smell, the day after the deal was signed, and so their claim they spent millions under the impression he’d be well up for a stint on the Oprah Winfrey Show was balls. The judge disagreed and now Mr Rogers Nelson has to find the best part of four million down the back of a paisley sofa. May we suggest Prince pays off his debt with another run of shows at the O2, as they were brilliant and we’d quite like to go again. |
